According to scientific evidence, cows were first domesticated by humans 10000 years ago in Çayönü (Ergani, Diyarbakır, Türkiye). While these cows, called "Auroch", had milk containing A2 beta-casein, they were mutated during their migration to Europe, resulting in a new sub-type of cows with milk containing A1 beta-casein. It is thought that A1 milk may be associated with some chronic diseases, especially digestive system disorders, due to the beta-casomorphin-7 metabolite that occurs with the digestion of milk containing A1 beta-casein, which has become the dominant type.
